Prime-Tass said a $US17.2m update of the [GM-Daewoo-designed] Nexia included a redesign of the front and rear bumpers, lighting, control devices and interior.
GM Uzbekistan, whose creation was completed earlier on Thursday, uses the production facilities of UzDaewooAuto.
The Nexia-2 model will be sold on the domestic market under the Chevrolet brand name and will be exported under the Daewoo brand name, a spokesman told the news agency, adding that GM Uzbekistan planned to produce 100,000 Nexia-2 cars a year.
