The Estonian Motor Vehicles Sale and Service Companies` Association, AMTEL, has said Estonian car dealers sold to the domestic market 2,680 new cars in May, 16% fewer than in May 2007, according to Baltic Business News.

In April the dealers sold to the domestic market 2,706 new cars and there were 12,608 new cars sold in the first five months of the year.
Toyota again emerged as the most popular manufacturer in new car sales with 292 units sold in Estonia in May. Next came Honda with 251 units, Mazda with 219 units, Volkswagen with 201 units and Skoda with 171 units.
