South Korean supplier DongNam Tech plans to locate its first US plant in Columbus, Georgia, creating 350 jobs.

State governor Sonny Perdue told the Associated Press that DongNam Tech would create an offshoot called DNT Georgia for the new facility, planned to be 100,000 square feet on 26 acres in the Muscogee Technology Park, that it expects to be in production by January 2009.
The company will manufacture carpet and floor mats for automakers and suppliers including Hyundai Mobis, Kia Mobis, General Motors and Nissan Motor.
The company, based in Pochun, Korea, was founded in 1990 to provide floor mats to the automotive industry, the report added.
