USA: Dana Corporation given permission to purchase Getrag
THE EUROPEAN Commission has given the go-ahead to the purchase of a joint controlling interest in the German car components company GETRAG by the American industrial components group Dana Corporation The companies all manufacture transmissions and other components for the European car market but the Commission said their activities were complementary and further noted that "the automotive industry manufactures a high share of transmissions for passenger cars in house."
