Faurecia and Toyota Boshoku Corporation, a components subsidiary of the Toyota Group, have agreed that Toyota Boshoku Corporation will take over Sieto, a Faurecia subsidiary located in Somain, near Lille, in northern France.

Sieto is an automotive seating assembly facility entirely dedicated to Toyota and to the seats of its Yaris model. The site employs 241 permanent employees, split in three shifts across four assembly lines.

Toyota has awarded Toyota Boshoku Corporation a new contract for the renewal of the complete seat programme currently assembled by Sieto, securing the future of the plant and its employees.

The transfer of the entire workforce will take place at the same employment conditions as those currently in force, once the transfer to Toyota Boshoku Corporation comes into effect in January 2010.
