Thomas Ulbrich will become the management board member for production at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles from 1 September, taking over the production division from Dirk Grosse-Loheide, who remains the management board member for procurement and logistics.

Grosse-Loheide became responsible for production in 2007.
Ulbrich studied vehicle engineering and became head of logistics at FAW-VW in China in 1996. Two years later he assumed responsibility for assembly lines at the Wolfsburg plant before becoming head of plant logistics at the Emden CV plant in 1999.
He was named technical managing director of Auto 5000 in Wolfsburg in 2001, and was appointed speaker of the management board of Auto 5000 in January 2007.
His successor at Auto 5000 will announced soon, VW said on Wednesday.
