A former BMW manager is expected to be questioned in relation to the corruption at French supplier Faurecia.
German news magazine Focus has obtained information from a district attorney in Munich that the manager was responsible for purchasing for BMW in the US.
Former Faurecia chief executive Pierri Levi is expected to receive a suspended prison sentence and be fined EUR300,000 within the next few weeks for his role in the company offering bribes to purchasing executives at vehicle manufacturers.
Faurecia employees are alleged to have offered between EUR600,000 and EUR800,000 each year to help win contracts.
More than 20 employees at VW, Audi, BMW and Seat have been implicated in the affair.
