BMW Group on Wednesday said it was on track for a new record for sales this year after selling 8.3% more vehicles (1,347,998 ) year on year to the end of November.

November sales rose 13.2% to 129,460 units.


BMW brand sales to the end of November were up 7% to 1,145,101 units while November sales rose 9.3% to 110,247. As usual, the 3-series was top-seller, accounting for over 40% of sales last month.


Sales and marketing chief Stefan Krause said: “Despite the difficult market conditions, we are approaching the target for 2007 at top speed. We are therefore confident that we will, at group level, reach our desired sales increase in the upper single-digit percentage range.”


Mini sales were up 16.1% to 202,076 year to date and November sales rose 42.4% to 19,078, helped by the launch of the new Clubman model, which is expected to account for 20% of sales in its first full year.
