A Chrysler spokesman told Dow Jones that that the company has been in talks with Hyundai and Volkswagen. Chrysler is currently developing a minivan with Volkswagen.
Chrysler’s Dodge brand markets the Caliber in this segment in the US. This car will help launch Dodge as a mainstream brand in Europe later this year, with the wraps coming off the European version at the Geneva motor show in March.
