Suzuki Motor announced that its local distributor in Brunei, Boustead Sdn Bhd, has launched sales of the company’s Alto and Every mini-cars produced at its Pakistan subsidiary, Pak Suzuki Motor Company.
The Japanese automaker confirmed that this “marks the first time for Suzuki to export models from an overseas production base that have the same body size and engine displacement as Japanese (Kei) mini-vehicles.” The Alto and Every are powered by 660cc engines, the same engine displacement as the models made and sold in Japan, while also sharing the same bodyshell designs.

Pak Suzuki already exports vehicles to other markets in South Asia, including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Afghanistan, with models such as the Alto, Swift and Ravi pickup truck. This is the first time Pak Suzuki has exported its vehicles to Brunei. The company produced around 145,000 vehicles last year, mostly for the local market.
The introduction of the two mini-vehicle models in Brunei also marked the 50th anniversary of Boustead’s appointment as Suzuki’s local distributor. The company already imports models such as the Jimny, Ertiga, and Fronx from other production locations in the region. It plans to add Suzuki motorcycles to its line-up in the fourth quarter of 2026.
