Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors Corporation reported a 3% year-on-year rise in global production to 73,111 vehicles in June 2026, up from 70,969 units in the same month last year. Production in Japan rose by 4% to 38,028 units, while overseas production increased by 1.9% to 35,083 units.
Sales in Japan, including vehicles imported from overseas, increased by 4.2% to 11,715 units in June, while exports from Japan fell by 16% to 15,978 units, with shipments to North America falling by 7% to 9,157 units.

In the first six months of the year, Mitsubishi’s global production increased by 5.2% to 461,142 vehicles, after declining by over 6% to 438,415 units a year earlier. Domestic output increased by almost 4.9% to 251,391 units in this period, while overseas production rose by over 5.5% to 209,751 units. Sales in Japan increased by 9.5% to 66,917 units, while exports increased by 4.6% to 116,598 units.
