Hyundai Mobis Company, the main components manufacturing unit of South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Group, announced that it is hosting a ten-day new technology demonstration event for its global customers at its winter testing ground in the remote Swedish town of Arjeplog. The event, which marks the 20th anniversary of Hyundai Mobis’ Swedish winter testing ground, is expected to attract over 100 representatives from ten European and North American customers.

Hyundai Mobis confirmed that it is demonstrating “new products currently under order discussions or scheduled for supply” at the event by integrating them into demonstration vehicles. “Through driving evaluations, we aim to identify customer needs. As requirements vary by customer, the company is expected to accelerate the development and supply of specialised core auto components tailored to each customer.”

Hyundai Mobis said that its global customers are sending a large number of representatives to the event, including engineers and purchasing managers. It claimed that representatives who recently experienced its demo vehicles, equipped with Hyundai Mobis’ core auto components such as braking and steering systems, expressed strong satisfaction. It pointed out that European customers in particular have shown significant interest in the company’s next-generation integrated braking system, which is scheduled for mass production later this year.

Hyundai Mobis’ Swedish winter testing ground covers an area of approximately 1.7 million square meters and features 14 tracks designed to simulate snow-covered and icy road conditions. The facility is also equipped with a workshop facility, enabling real-time adjustments based on customer feedback.
