In December the automaker will ship another 20 Celtas to El Salvador. In 2002 it also plans exports to Guatemala, Aruba and Jamaica, a total of 400 units for the year.

Introduced in 2000, the Opel Corsa based Celta is made only in Brazil and is the country’s fourth best selling vehicle. At around 7,300 units a month, it is GM do Brasil’s sales champion.

The Celta is also exported to the South American countries of Paraguay and Uruguay.
