Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), owned by Germany’s Daimler Truck AG, announced that Switzerland’s Emil Frey Group has been appointed as its general distributor in 21 markets across Europe, providing sales and aftermarket services for the Fuso brand.

MFTBC confirmed that the reorganisation of its European distribution and sales operations is part of the integration process of the Fuso and Hino brands under a new holding company, Archion, with the merger scheduled to be completed on 1 April 2026. Fuso confirmed that its light-duty trucks will continue to be available in all current European markets after the merger.

Emil Frey Group, established in 1924, is a family-owned company headquartered in Zurich, with a strong sales, service and logistics network across Europe covering passenger cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery and motorcycles. It employs around 25,000 people and sells over 600,000 vehicles annually across the region.

The company has agreed to establish Fuso distribution and sales operations in the following countries: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
