JAC Group has officially opened a new sales subsidiary in Italy, called JAC Motors Italy, as the Chinese automaker looks to strengthen its distribution and sales operations in one of Europe’s largest automotive markets.
The company confirmed that the establishment of the new subsidiary, based in the northern city of Turin, is part of its strategy of localising more operations in Europe designed to give it a stronger customer focus in the region, strengthen its aftersales support, and facilitate the establishment of new local partnerships.

JAC Group said it chose Turin, the operational headquarters of Fiat, because of the city’s strong industrial base, automotive heritage and innovation-driven environment. The automaker established a regional R&D centre in the city, called JAC Italy Design Center, over 20 years ago with a focus on vehicle design and technology integration, supporting product development for Europe and other international markets.
JAC Group also has a partnership with DR Automobiles Group, based in the southern Italian region of Molise, which assembles and sells vehicles supplied by JAC and other Chinese automakers such as BAIC and Chery under its own brands.
JAC confirmed that its new sales subsidiary will serve as a hub for its European expansion, allowing it to better integrate into local market ecosystems while supporting sustainable growth through competitive products and reliable service networks. The move also reflects broader cooperation between China and Italy in advanced manufacturing and green mobility.
