
Vietnamese battery electric vehicle (BEV) manufacturer, VinFast Auto, announced it has signed a partnership agreement with India’s RoadGrid to collaborate in building an EV charging and aftermarket services network in India.
VinFast’s local subsidiary, VinFast Auto India Ltd, plans to have a charging and aftersales service network in place in India before it begins BEV deliveries later this year. The company said it aims “to lay a strong foundation for sustained expansion and deliver a premium ownership experience in the rapidly evolving electric mobility space.”
VinFast confirmed it aims to have 120 extended service workshops in place in India by partnering with local service providers, including RoadGrid. The deal follows shortly after it signed a similar aftermarket services partnership with myTVS. VinFast confirmed the deals are part of its preparations for its upcoming product launch in India.
Vinfast said RoadGrid provides EV charging and aftersales solutions across India, combining advanced charging infrastructure and integrated service solutions. The company is “dedicated to developing a smart and scalable ecosystem tailored to the evolving needs of electric vehicle users across the country.”
VinFast confirmed the collaboration with RoadGrip will “enable real-time charging access, diagnostics-driven service offerings, and enhanced digital integration to support a scalable EV ecosystem.”
VinFast Asia’s CEO, Pham Sanh Chau, said in a statement: “At VinFast- our vision for India to build an entire EV ecosystem grounded in quality, accessibility, and long-term customer support. Our goal is to make owning an electric vehicle as effortless and reassuring as possible. By joining hands with RoadGrid, we are taking meaningful steps to ensure that every VinFast customer in India has access to dependable charging and responsive service.”
