Lidl Italia has taken a step towards sustainable logistics by incorporating the eActros 600, Italy’s first fully electric semitrailer tractor designed for CO₂ free long-distance transport.
This initiative is a collaborative effort with Daimler Truck Italia and LC3 Trasporti, a shift towards climate-friendly mobility on Italy’s roads.

The eActros 600 is deployed to deliver goods to Lidl branches in Trentino-South Tyrol and the Lake Garda region during the summer.
The vehicle is equipped with a nitrogen-cooled semitrailer, catering to the transportation of temperature-sensitive goods without harming the environment.
LC3 Trasporti has placed an order for a total of 30 eActros 600 trucks for Lidl Italia.
Lidl Italia logistics director Luca Ros said: “Logistics is a crucial part of our business and making it more sustainable is a must. For this reason, we have been embarking on a journey of gradual decarbonisation of transport for years, which is also achieved through the choice of more sustainable means of transport.”
