Stellantis and Valeo have introduced Europe’s first remanufactured LED headlamp alongside a remanufactured infotainment display screen, marking a step towards sustainable automotive manufacturing.
The initiative is part of Stellantis’ commitment to lead the industry towards carbon net zero by 2038.

The remanufacturing process restores used products to OEM specifications, offering the same performance and warranty as new parts.
Valeo’s collaboration with Stellantis has resulted in a headlamp that reuses up to 50% of the raw materials from end-of-life LED headlamps, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 70% compared to new production.
These remanufactured products also bolster Valeo’s industrial activities in the plants of Chrzanow, Poland, and Angers, France.
Stellantis said it is the first carmaker to include this product in its aftersales offer in Europe, with the SUSTAINera REMAN range set to be available from the end of the first half of 2025.

The remanufactured display screen is another product aimed at reducing waste.
The display, processed at Valeo’s Circular Electronics Lab in Nevers, France, will be available in the SUSTAINera range from June, compatible with various models across the Stellantis brand family.
The models are Peugeot 308, Citroën C3 and C3 Aircross, DS DS3 Crossback, Opel Grandland X, Corsa and Mokka
Valeo’s remanufacturing efforts result in one million products annually, with ambitions to double this capacity by 2030.
Stellantis’ SUSTAINera label offers a wide range of remanufactured automotive spare parts, encompassing over 12,000 part numbers and more than 40 different product lines, including high-voltage batteries for electric vehicles.
Stellantis SVP Global Circular Economy Laurence Hansen said: “After the success of our collaboration with Valeo to launch the first remanufactured front camera for ADAS systems, we are expanding our range of remanufactured products to include electronics and launching the first remanufactured LED headlamp.
“This shows our commitment to innovate in automotive remanufacturing and meet the strong demand for headlamps and display spare parts in an affordable and sustainable way.”
Also, Stellantis plans to invest €38m ($41m) in its Verrone plant in Northern Italy to produce electric vehicle (EV) powertrain parts.
