Chinese battery electric vehicle (BEV) manufacturer Xpeng Motors this week signed an agreement with bp pulse, the EV charging unit of UK energy company BP Plc, to provide mutual access to their fast-charging networks in China. The deal will create one of China’s largest premium EV charging networks, combining more than 30,000 chargers across 420 cities in China.

In China, bp pulse has around 1,000 charging stations with a total of 23,000 charging piles, while Xpeng has more than 2,000 charging stations and 10,000 charging piles.
