TI Automotive has recently won multi-million dollar contacts to produce fuel tank systems for three global automakers – unnamed as usual.
The multi-year contracts with one Asia-based and two major North American automakers have a combined value of $US264 million.
The fuel-tank systems will be manufactured at TI Automotive’s Ossian, Indiana, and new Hartwell, Georgia, facilities.
Production will begin next year for the blow-moulded fuel tanks designed for use on 2007 and 2008 model-year passenger cars and sport-utility vehicles.
