Stellantis has said it will acquire 49.5% of Argentina’s 360 Energy Solar, investing $100 million, in a bid to make its plants greener, Reuters reports.

The automaker says the investment will allow it to boost renewable energy at its Ferreyra and El Palomar plants in the provinces of Cordoba and Buenos Aires, respectively.

Both facilities are powered by 360 Energy’s La Rioja solar power plant.

The solar energy producer also owns six photovoltaic plants in the provinces of San Juan, Catamarca and La Rioja, with an installed generating capacity of more than 250 megawatts.
