All six new models were scheduled to be on sale by the end of 2027.

Honda has struggled to keep up with the fast changing Chinese market in the last few years and recently stepped up development of new BEVs to target fast growing demand for zero emission vehicles.

The Ye-series would strengthen the company’s local BEV line which currently comprises the e:N Series of e:NP1 and e:NS1 models.

The company said the new Ye-series models would be underpinned by its newly developed “intelligent and efficient pure electric W architecture” (Architecture W).

Honda planned to introduce 10 Honda badged BEV models in China by 2027 and aimed to switch entirely to BEVs 2035.
