The Commission reportedly said that conditions imposed on registering second-hand cars from outside the country appear more difficult than those imposed on registering used cars already in the country – this may break EU single market rules.

According to the news agency, uf the Czech laws are found to be in violation of European Commission treaty rules, which say member states cannot impose restrictions on imports and exports from other EU countries without a valid reason, the commission could send a formal request to the Czech government asking it to change its law – Czech officials must respond to the EU’s request for information within two months.
