DaimlerChrysler AG (NYSE: DCX) Chairman Juergen E. Schrempp announced today the appointment of James P. Holden as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DaimlerChrysler Corporation (DCC), effective July 1, 2000, in addition to his current role as President.

Schrempp, Chairman, DaimlerChrysler AG. “As CEO of the business unit that produces our Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge products, I expect that Jim will provide the leadership necessary for success in the highly competitive North American market and beyond.”
