Alex Trotman, the first British-born chairman and chief executive officer of Ford Motor Company, has died after a brief illness at the age of 71.
Trotman worked for Ford for 43 years serving in a variety of positions throughout Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. He held the top post from November 1993 until his retirement in December 1998.
