UK-based Volex said it was a licensed supplier to Tesla for the North American Charging Standard (NACS).
The ‘selected global manufacturer for the NACS coupler’ said it was “stocked and ready to immediately supply automotive OEMS and charging infrastructure suppliers”.
Nissan, Volkswagen, Mercedes and other automakers have moved to adopt Tesla’s charging technology in recent months.
Volex has 19 sites worldwide including one in California.
