Stellantis said it can build up to 2m vehicles on the platform a year.

It will be used in multiple plants worldwide, starting in Europe this year.

The platform offers two different packs, Performance and Standard.

Performance pack delivers a claimed range of 700km while Standard offers 500km (310 miles) WLTP.

Stellantis claims consumption could be under 14kWh per 100km, depending on the application and battery charging from 20% to 80% could be achieved in 27 minutes, at a rate of 2.4 kWh per minute.

Vehicles on the platform will be available with front drive or all wheel drive with the addition of a second electric drive module at the rear.

BEV power output will range from 160 to 285 kW.

Body styles include passenger cars, crossovers, and SUVs.

The new platform is the first of several the automaker promised earlier.

In April 2021, CEO Carlos Tavares named four platforms which would be used worldwide: STLA Small, STLA Medium, STLA Large and STLA Frame.
