
Electric vehicle maker Rivian Automotive reportedly said on Monday it delivered 12,640 vehicles in the second quarter, a 59% jump from the previous quarter.
It produced 13,992 vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois during the same period, Reuters reported.
The Normal plant was once Mitsubishi’s US manufacturing facility.
Earlier, Tesla said it delivered a record number of vehicles in Q2 2023, after cutting prices to increase sales.
According to the BBC, Tesla delivered 466,140 vehicles in Q2, an 80% year on year increase.
Vehicle production reportedly increased to 480,000 in the same period.
