The company’s sales projections closely follow an announcement made earlier this week by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) in Tokyo that it was implementing a major reorganization of its North American passenger car operations in order to expand annual sales in the U.S. to 400,000 by 2005.
“Calendar year 2000 has proven to be a great success for us, exceeding even our own ambitious objectives,” said Pierre Gagnon, MMSA executive vice president and chief operating officer. “We are well on our way to surpassing 300,000 sales this year, which will be a great achievement for our entire organization as well as our retail partners.”
