traffic-lines is a young and innovative company in the field of ultra-high pressure water technology. Established in 2014 in Montabaur, Germany, it was founded as a sales company of Maschinenbau Cernota GmbH, which has more than two decades of experience in the ultra-high-pressure water technology industry.

With this experience, traffic-lines offers products that ensure the clean, gentle, and efficient removal of road markings, cleaning and retexturing of surfaces.

The company‘s patented annular gap suction system has allowed it to establish a technology that combines high-performance cleaning with gentle surface treatment and effective operation. Customers appreciate this just as much as the modular design of the products, with different working configurations, size classes, and performance levels. This enables traffic-lines to offer a customised and expandable solution for every requirement.

traffic-lines aims to improve existing products, enhance customer experiences with innovations, and constantly introduce new fields of business.

Patented ultra-high-pressure water-blasting technology

With traffic-lines patented ‘annular gap suction system’, customers achieve a new level of cleaning results. The powerful suction of up to 32,000m³/h prevents water accumulation inside the hood. This makes it possible to treat the surfaces with less pressure, making it gentle and efficient.

No accumulated wastewater inside the suction hood while ultra-high-pressure water jet hits the surface directly, resulting in a significantly higher and more efficient cleaning performance.

A suction performance of up to 32,000m³/h with pipes 250mm (10in) in diameter ensures continuous suction process of removed material, water, and marking remnants, as well as an almost dry surface after treatment.

Patented and specialised marking removal solutions

With the patented ultra-high-pressure water blasting technology, the dynamic twister removes all types of markings efficiently and gently, leaving the road surface almost dry thanks to the powerful suction. With sustainable properties and optimal cleaning and suction performance, the modular traffic-lines dynamic twister is a specialist tool for marking removal applications.

For near-edge marking removal, traffic-lines offers the twister edge, which is suitable for removal applications up to 50mm near obstacles such as pavements or walls. The system combines all the advantages of the patented traffic-lines ultra-high pressure water technology with an innovative product design.

In addition, traffic-lines offers the twister telescope for optimal flexibility. Combined with the company’s patented ultra-high-pressure water blasting technology, the twister can easily reach almost any area of application due to the extendable and rotatable telescope arm of up to 8m in length. The twister delivers its usual high performance and removes all types of markings and dirt efficiently and gently.

Other features of these solutions include:

  • Up to 3,000 bar/43,511psi
  • Working width up to 500mm (19.7in)
  • Mobility multifunctional arm – 180° in all directions
  • Working radius up to 4.50m
  • Up to 32,000m³/h suction performance (almost dry surface after treatment)

Multi-functional tools for rubber and marking removal applications

The traffic-lines dynamic double twister is the multitool among the traffic-lines front modules. Thanks to its two hoods, the dynamic double twister can be used in versatile and variable ways. Depending on the task, the hoods can be arranged side-by-side or one behind the other, allowing either a large area to be cleaned, or a marking to be removed effectively. The traffic-lines dynamic double twister allows new possibilities for customers and cuts costs through fast and efficient cleaning.

The patented traffic-lines ultra-high-pressure water blasting technology paired with the telescope arm offers optimal flexibility. The double twister telescope can easily reach almost any area of application thanks to the telescope arm, which can be extended and rotated up to 7.5m in length. This allows the traffic-lines double twister telescope to play to its strengths in tunnel decoating and cleaning, representing a holistic solution for tunnel cleaning.

traffic-lines also offers the duo twister, which is suitable for cleaning tasks on a wide range of surfaces, including various asphalt and concrete roads, anti-slip coverings, and test / racetracks. With its working width of up to 4.20 and two rotating hoods, it removes any rubber particles or oil contamination and retextures the surface effectively, reliably, and quickly via an area performance of up to 6,000m²/h.

Other features of these multifunctional solutions include:

  • Up to 3,000 bar/43,511psi
  • Up to 32,000m³/h suction performance (almost dry surface after treatment)
  • Working width up to 1,000mm (Dynamic double twister, Double twister telescope); 4.2m, due to two rotating hoods (Duo Twister)
  • Working radiuses of 4.5m (Dynamic double twister), 7.5m (Double twister telescope)

Automated joint cover

The only one of its kind in the world; the automated joint cover function enables automatic protection of any type of joint in the ongoing marking removal process such as bitumen or transverse joints, in the usual widths and without the need for additional personnel.

The standard operating speed of the traffic-lines twister can be retained in use and is remotely controlled by the operator.

Thanks to traffic-lines twister’s modular construction, this intelligent equipment option can be retrofitted at any time.

Water treatment system for surface treatment solutions

The traffic-lines water loop water treatment system converts the used liquid into fresh, water, which can be continuously recycled and reused to treat the surface. This avoids the need to refill with fresh water or dispose of any wastewater, decreases operational times and increases the performance area.

Vehicle detection system for protecting road structures

traffic-lines’ vehicle differentiation system aims to protect old and new drivable structures. Precise measurements of vehicles such as axle weight, total weight (WIM = weigh-in-motion), as well as height and width, enable the effective detection and automatic diversion of vehicles that are harmful to structures.

Benefits of the traffic-lines’ vehicle differentiation system include:

  • Very fast set-up, with minimal traffic disruption
  • Detection of vehicles that are outside set parameters related to height and/or weight
  • Automatic and reliable vehicle rejection
  • 100% accuracy rate in detection of traffic violators
  • Prevents driven structures from damage
  • Can be individually customised as per customer requirements
