Jason Vines, who left Ford when former president and CEO Jacques Nasser was ousted, and Arthur “Bud” Liebler, formerly with DaimlerChrysler, have joined former GM and Saturn VP Bruce G. MacDonald at Strat@comm-Detroit.
Vines was most recently vice president of communications at Ford Motor where he was in charge of all product, corporate and internal communications worldwide.
Prior to joining Ford, he was vice president of external affairs for Nissan North America. Vines started at Chrysler in 1983, where he held a variety of labour relations and communications positions.
Liebler has also worked at Ford Chrysler, joining the latter in 1989 as vice president communications and subsequently holding a variety of marketing and sales positions.
“The three of us have spent years trying to outmanoeuvre each other on behalf of our companies,” said Vines. “Playing on the same team is truly exciting for me and our current and future clients. Weird, yes, but nonetheless exciting.”
MacDonald opened Strat@comm’s Midwest office in April 2000. He spent 31 years with General Motors, the last eight as vice president of worldwide communications and vice president of Saturn.
