Wallbox has unveiled Supernova PowerRing, a modular fast-charging system that delivers up to 400kW per outlet and a total shared capacity of 720kW.  

The Spanish EV charging solution provider will roll it out in phases from the first quarter of 2026, starting in southern Europe, Benelux, and the UK and Ireland, with further expansion planned to other regions including the US. 

PowerRing links multiple Supernova DC chargers from Wallbox’s existing fast-charging range so they can share power intelligently based on real-time demand.  

By pooling unused capacity, the system is designed to optimise energy distribution, reduce idle power, and lower infrastructure and deployment costs for charge point operators. 

A single PowerRing can connect up to three Supernova units and six outlets, supporting scalable site configurations of 240kW, 480kW, or 720kW.  

The first rollout phase will enable dynamic power allocation between chargers to enhance uptime and mitigate power limitations during peak periods.

Wallbox plans future updates to expand power-sharing capabilities, including allocation between active connectors and across multiple sites via intelligent algorithms.  

The company said the compact, scalable design targets a broad set of locations such as retail centres, petrol stations, and commercial parking areas, with simplified installation to accelerate rollout.
