Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast has forged a strategic alliance with Plugsurfing, an EV charging service provider in Europe.

VinFast says the partnership is set to improve the charging experience for VinFast customers by providing them with access to over one million public charging points across 24 European nations directly via the VinFast app.

Plugsurfing is said to have established a vast network of charging partners, catering to over two million users across the region including over 550,000 charging points in key markets such as France, Germany, and the Netherlands.

As part of the collaboration, owners of VinFast's VF 6 and VF 8 models will be given new charging cards at no additional cost.

Additionally, to ensure a smooth transition, existing charging history and account balances will be transferred to the new system without any loss of accrued benefits.

Plugsurfing COO Sofia Diakhate said: “We are excited to collaborate with VinFast in shaping a brighter and more sustainable EV future for Europe. Plugsurfing is constantly developing its network to deliver a more reliable, accessible charging experience, while actively supporting VinFast’s expansion across the continent.”

The company plans to broaden its global presence in various markets, including Indonesia, India, the Philippines, North America, and the Middle East.

In May 2025, Xpeng partnered with Plugsurfing to offer its clientele a widespread charging network.
