V-GREEN, an EV charging station developer, has signed a memoranda of understanding (MOU) with four partners to deploy approximately 63,000 VinFast electric vehicle charging ports in Indonesia by the end of 2025.

This initiative, with a projected investment of $300m, aims to expand the VinFast EV ecosystem in Southeast Asia, highlighting V-GREEN's growing influence in green mobility.

The collaboration involves V-GREEN and its partners—Chargecore, Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS—jointly investing in EV infrastructure across Indonesia.

The focus will be on regions such as Jabodatebek, Bandung, Surabaya, and Bali.

The project is set to commence in May 2025, with the first station to be operational by June.

In 2025, Chargecore plans a minimum investment of $30m, while Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS will each invest around $5.3m annually.

V-GREEN will finance 20% of the stations, with the remaining 80% developed through business cooperation contracts (BCC).

V-GREEN has been operating in Indonesia under the BCC model, offering investors attractive terms, including a power purchase rate of Rp750/kWh.

V-GREEN Indonesia managing director Mai Truong Giang said: “Partnering with reputable companies in Indonesia marks a significant step in our global EV charging network strategy, especially as we respond to growing demand across Southeast Asia.

"With the support of our strategic partners, we are confident that V-GREEN and VinFast will successfully build a modern green mobility ecosystem that contributes to the region’s and the world’s sustainable development goals.”

V-GREEN aims to establish 50,000 charging stations and 63,000 charging ports nationwide by 2025.

As an initial step, VinFast owners can charge their vehicles for free at 1,000 V-GREEN-operated stations starting in May.

VinFast has launched four EV models in Indonesia: VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF e34, within a year of entering the market.
