UK leather supplier opens design studio in OEM territory

Offers colour, material and trim (CMF) teams easier and more frequent engagement with designers

Graeme Roberts January 17 2024

UK auto leather supplier Bridge of Weir has opened an advanced design studio in Warwick, in the UK Midlands, near major automakers and R&D centres.

The company said the move was to "accelerate and expand the capabilities of leather as an automotive interior material" while being closer to OEM customers such as Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin, and McLaren.

The studio offers colour, material and trim (CMF) teams the opportunity to have easier and more frequent engagement with designers.

Sales director James Muirhead said: "This new site will push the boundaries of leather as a material and enable our customers to engage with our innovations more readily.”
