VW Group owned Škoda Auto has reported a 13.6% year-on-year growth in vehicle deliveries for the first half (H1) of 2025, with 509,400 vehicles reaching customers globally.

The company’s revenue increased by 10.4% to €15.070bn ($17.69bn) and its operating profit rose 11.8% to €1.285bn ($1.50bn).

The success is attributed to heightened demand in key markets across Europe and India.

In Europe, the company’s vehicle deliveries rose by 10.5% to 409,100 units. Electric and plug-in-hybrid models were particularly sought after, making up 22.8% of total deliveries, compared to 9.4% in H1 last year.

Škoda’s global sales for the period were topped by Western Europe, followed by the brand’s largest market, Germany.

The brand's presence in Asia was also bolstered, with 33,300 vehicles delivered in India, marking a 107.7% growth compared to the previous year.

The introduction of the Kylaq model is said to have contributed to Škoda's performance, with more than 20,000 units delivered by June's end.

Škoda Auto CEO Klaus Zellmer said: “More than 120,000 orders for our all-electric new Enyaq and Elroq models were made by end of June. This is how we’ve risen to become the third best-selling car brand in Europe from tenth place just a few years ago, as we grow European deliveries faster than the overall industry. I’m deeply grateful for the positive response from customers and to our suppliers and dealer partners for their crucial contributions.”

Additionally, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India exceeded the production of 500,000 engines at its Pune facility in the Indian state of Maharashtra in March this year.

Škoda has expanded its reach in Vietnam with the local production of the Kushaq SUV, in collaboration with the Thanh Cong Group.

Škoda is utilising synergies with India with the import of completely knocked-down kits for final assembly. The Vietnamese line-up will soon include the Slavia saloon, also to be locally assembled.

The Octavia remains Škoda's top-selling model in H1 2025, with the Kodiaq and Kamiq following closely.
