Qorix, a provider of integrated automotive middleware solutions, has partnered with Qualcomm Technologies to advance software-defined vehicles (SDVs) through integrated, high-performance, and scalable solutions.

This collaboration will see the integration of Qorix's automotive middleware with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Digital Chassis platforms, streamlining the development process for automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and tier-1 suppliers.

The partnership seeks to provide automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers with pre-integrated software stacks designed to reduce development costs and accelerate time-to-market.

As part of the collaboration, Qorix’s middleware will be integrated onto Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis platforms, including the Snapdragon Cockpit and Snapdragon Ride Platforms.

Qualcomm Technologies product management vice-president Laxmi Rayapudi said: “By seamlessly integrating our Snapdragon Cockpit and Snapdragon Ride Platforms with Qorix's robust middleware, we are helping accelerate the adoption and deployment of software-defined vehicles and equipping our customers with high-performance solutions designed to deliver unparalleled riding experiences.”

The firms will leverage their respective strengths in system-on-chip (SoC) and middleware solutions to meet the critical integration challenges in system development.

Through this partnership, automotive stakeholders will have access to comprehensive support, with Qualcomm providing high-performance hardware and Qorix delivering middleware expertise.

Qorix CEO Markus Schupfner said: “Our collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies represents a significant step forward in addressing the growing complexity of automotive systems.

“Together, we are redefining possibilities for next-generation vehicles by integrating cutting-edge middleware and hardware technologies.”

Last month, Desay SV and Qualcomm Technologies teamed up to launch a new AI cabin platform, the G10PH.

G10PH is designed to deliver “superior” computing, graphics, and advanced AI capabilities to automotive OEMs.

The platform is built upon the Snapdragon Cockpit Elite’s advanced AI capabilities, offering high-definition graphics and “superior” computing power.
