Bayotech will supply hydrogen to Nikola which will in turn provide trucks to move the gas.
An agreement combines Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks, HyFill bulk hydrogen transport trailers and hydrogen.
Starting this year in Missouri and in California by 2024, Bayotech will ship low carbon hydrogen to Nikola.
This will allow establishment of a distribution network for high pressure hydrogen for refuelling stations.
BayoTech will purchase 50 Nikola fuel cell EV trucks in the next five years with the first dozen delivered in 2023 and 2024.
The trucks will haul trailers to distribute hydrogen from BayoTech's hydrogen production hubs.
