Nexen Tire has announced that it is supplying original equipment (OE) tyres for the Renault Filante, a crossover model produced by Renault Korea.

The Renault Filante is a crossover vehicle that combines the characteristics of a sedan and an SUV, equipped with Renault Korea's latest hybrid powertrain.

Nexen points out that hybrid vehicles place elevated technical demands on tyres due to the simultaneous use of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine. It says Nexen Tire's selection for this model reflects the company's ‘proven ability to deliver tyre solutions optimised for diverse powertrain types”.

The supply contract covers not only vehicles sold in the Korean domestic market but also export models destined for Latin America and the Middle East.

The supplied tyre is the ROADIAN GTX, Nexen Tire's all-season tyre designed for SUVs and crossover utility vehicles (CUVs), fitted in a 19-inch specification. Engineered to deliver reliable all-season driving performance, the ROADIAN GTX features a zigzag tread design across a wide contact patch that distributes road pressure evenly to support stable handling. A precision load distribution structure enhances road grip, while a low-noise-optimised block arrangement ensures the ride quietness demanded by electrified vehicles.

This supply further deepens Nexen Tire’s growing partnership with Renault Korea, following the company's OE fitment for the Grand Koleos mid-size SUV launched in 2024.
