Mercedes-Benz to deliver 5k electric vehicles to Amazon network

Nearly 5,000 Mercedes eSprinter and eVito vans will be delivered to Amazon’s transportation network in five European countries.

Amazon will put an additional 5,000 fully electric eVito and eSprinter vehicles into its network They will be delivered to Amazon Delivery Service Partners (DSP). It marks the largest single order for Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles. It follows a previous Amazon order. In 2020, Amazon put more than 1,800 fully electric eVito and eSprinter vehicles into its delivery network.

The vehicles will be operating in a total of five different European countries, with a significant portion of the fleet based in Germany. Amazon expects that these vehicles will deliver more than 200 million parcels per year.

They demonstrate that locally CO₂-emission-free driving, impressive performance, comfort, and low operating costs can be perfectly combined."
