Nissan's US Infiniti unit launched the 2025 QX80 luxury, three row SUV at Edge, the 100 story high outdoor sky deck at Hudson Yards in Manhattan.
The new model has flush door handles and offers an optional Light Path which, as the driver approaches, stages a light show which starts at the grille brand emblem, progresses through the DRLs and eventually projects wing like geometric shapes on the ground at either side.

Interior materials include ash wood trim with laser etched metal inlays and optional semi-aniline leather seats with partially hand finished stitching.

Optional 64 colour personalied ambient lighting, "inspired by the four seasons" is offered. The new SUV has high resolution displays for a reconfigurable meter display and central touchscreen infotainment. This is the first Infiniti with Google, integrating Assistant, Maps and other apps on the display via Play.

Equipment highlights include Biometric Cooling which detects when a second row passenger may be feeling warm and automatically directs cooling air towards them, claimed to get passengers to a comfortable temperature in half the time than standard climate control alone and it activates automatically.
Front Wide View and Invisible Hood View use cameras and image processing to help with seeing obstacles. The front view projects a wide angle viewpoint from the vehicle's front camera across both 14.3-inch displays. The hood view shows a projected image of what's behind the vehicle's hood, allowing for spotting curbs in drive through lanes, tracks when entering a car wash and other obstacles.
The automaker claims the QX80 is the first vehicle in the US full-size luxury SUV segment with Klipsch audio with optional Reference Premiere audio system with 24 speakers, 1,200 watts output, titanium tweeters and four Highline speakers in the roof.
This system has Individual Audio using speakers in the front seat headrests to allow only the driver and front passenger to hear navigation prompts or phone calls.

Power comes from a 3.5 litre, twin turbocharged petrol engine developing 450hp and 516 lb ft of torque combined with a new nine speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
Electronic air suspension which can lower the vehicle by nearly three inches (75mm) when parked and Dynamic Digital Suspension are optional.
The new SUV reaches US dealers this summer priced from US$82,450 to $110,595.
