Dani Cole February 20 2024

Hyundai Motor India has announced the successful expansion of its Ultra-High Speed Public EV Charging Network across key highways and cities in India.

The company has expanded to a total of 11 Ultra-Fast charging stations each having three charging points, comprising one unit each of DC 150 kW, DC 60 kW and DC 30 kW capacity.

The charging network is available across six key cities: Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Gurugram and Bangalore, and on five major highway locations.

Commenting on the expansion milestone of Ultra-Fast DC chargers, Mr. Jae Wan Ryu, Executive Director, Corporate Planning, Hyundai Motor India Ltd said: “In line with Government of India’s focus towards creating a holistic electric vehicle ecosystem, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is committed to enhance customer’s EV ownership experience.”

In addition, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is planning to install 100 Charging stations by 2027, as per the agreement with Government of Tamil Nadu in the recently concluded Global Investor Meet held in January this year.

Most of these chargers are available for all Hyundai and non-Hyundai customers.

Hyundai says it is planning to expand its Ultra-Fast charging stations to 10 or more new locations in 2024.

These sites will be located across India and Hyundai is committed to work on enhancing the overall EV experience for Hyundai as well as non-Hyundai EV users.
