The Volkswagen Group-owned Bentley luxury brand has introduced the first Batur Convertible, a bespoke creation by Mulliner, the brand's in-house division specialising in custom and special projects.

The Batur Convertible boasts a 740bhp, hand-assembled 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine.

It is the latest addition to Mulliner's Coachbuilt portfolio, which includes the Bacalar barchetta and the Batur coupé.

The company said this exclusive model is strictly limited in production, ensuring a high degree of exclusivity for its owners.

Each Batur Convertible is tailored to the client’s preferences using a visualiser tool that allows for customisation of colour and surface finish.

The first Batur Convertible features an exterior finished in Opalite with Beluga and Mandarin highlights, while the interior design reflects the car's performance capabilities.

The interior is said to feature a “one plus one” design, and the vehicle also includes solid titanium machined features such as gearshift paddles and air vent controls.

The Batur Convertible's luggage compartment houses a two-piece luggage set, one in Beluga and the other in Linen, matching the car's interior colour scheme.

Additionally, Mulliner has crafted two bespoke key cases to complement the overall design.

Batur Convertible Car Zero, the engineering development prototype of Batur Convertible, was debuted at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed.

In July 2025, Bentley Motors revealed its latest luxury concept car, the EXP 15, ahead of its first fully-electric car launch in 2026.

In March, it commenced the construction of its new integrated logistics centre at its headquarters in Crewe, the UK, to produce electric vehicles.

The following month saw the launch of an AI system to improve leather selection for luxury car manufacturing.
