Mercedes-Benz will unveil the world premiere of its all-new electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class at Auto China 2024 (to be held in Beijing, from 24 April).

It will be named the G 580, retaining the same styling as the classic version and will reportedly feature four electric motors for each wheel. Its combined energy consumption is 27.7–30.3 kWh/100 km. It will be showcased on 24 April in Beijing.

The new Mercedes‑AMG GT 63 S E Performance will also make an appearance. It is the latest high-performance sports car of Mercedes‑AMG. It will be revealed at a special AMG Brand Night Event in Shanghai during the Formula 1 weekend on 20 April.

In addition, several new Mercedes models will be shown to the Chinese market for the first time, including the Concept CLA Class, demonstrating the upcoming MMA (Mercedes Modular Architecture) platform and MB.OS. It will offer a close-to-production insight into the future family of electric vehicles.

The R&D team in China has been involved in the development of MB.OS, which Mercedes says will provide local customers with a greater intelligent digital experience.

Lastly, the all-electric Mercedes‑Benz EQS Saloon will mark a new chapter in China with a number of upgrades, the company says.

There will also be further show premieres from Mercedes‑Maybach and the Mercedes‑Benz E‑Class family.
