The Ferrari Luce is based on a dedicated all-electric platform and uses four independently controlled electric motors, with one assigned to each wheel.
The company instead plans to supply electric drives to Nissan’s Sunderland plant from Japan.
The new business will operate as a 50:50 venture between Bosch and the TSF Group, which includes Chennai, Tamil Nadu-headquartered BIPL and WIL.
The “Energy Master” functions as the central controller of the high-voltage system and marks the first time the German carmaker has developed and manufactured the component entirely in-house.
