
Chinese automotive company Xpeng has expanded its global footprint with the official entry into the UK market with right-hand drive electric SUV.
The company has initiated pre-order sales for its first right-hand drive model, Xpeng G6 SUV, with deliveries planned to begin in March.

The Xpeng G6 SUV, decsribed as an ultra-smart all-electric mid-size coupe, combines “cutting-edge technology, and zero tailpipe emissions”, to “meet the needs of UK and European consumers”.
It features 800-volt supercharging, an extended driving range, and next-generation operating systems for a seamless driving experience, the company said.
In partnership with International Motors Ltd (IML), Xpeng is planning to open 20 dealerships across the UK in 2025.
Xpeng vice-chairman and president Dr Brian Gu said: “Our launch in the UK, in partnership with IML, marks a significant step in Xpeng’s European and global expansion. We are excited to bring a new era of smarter, more sustainable mobility to the UK market and globally.

At the launch, the company showcased its AI-driven vehicle lineup including what it claims to be the world’s first AI-defined car, the XPENG P7+; the G6 and G9 SUVs; the seven-seater X9; and the eVTOL X2 flying car by XPENG subsidiary’s XPENG AEROHT.
By the end of 2025, Xpeng aims to establish a presence in over 60 countries and regions.
