Volkswagen Group sales rose 5.1% year on year to 988,800 vehicles worldwide.
The Group claimed to have boosted market share in all key regions. Chinese sales rose 5.1%, Europe 6.4% and Germany 9.1%.

Sales chief Christian Dahlheim said January to November volume exceeded full year 2018 results.
Europe sales rose 6.4% to 375,500 vehicles with western Europe volume up 7.5% to 304,300. Central and eastern Europe deliveries rose 1.8% to 71,200. Russia sales fell 2.5% to 22,300.
North America region sales rose 5.7% to 83,800. US growth was 1.7% to 56,800 but Canada deliveries fell 2.9% to 9,700 and Mexican sales 10.5% to 17,300.
South America volume fell 2.9% to 51,700 with Brazil sales up 9.2% to 41,700. Argentina deliveries were off 22.6% to 4,500 vehicles.
Asia-Pacific region volume rose 4.9% to 447,600 vehicles with China up 5.1% to 419,700.
