AB Volvo has launched its first truck model developed only with electric drive.

The FM Low Entry, a heavy-duty truck, is designed for safe and efficient driving in city areas.

Roger Alm, President Volvo Trucks said: “This zero-emission truck is a great addition to our electric range, perfectly suited for city transports and designed with the driver in mind.”

It is based on Volvo’s FM model, and the new FM Low Entry will initially be sold in Europe including Turkey and South Korea. Sales start is in the first quarter of 2024, and production start is in the second quarter of 2024.

It has a motor of 330kW, and battery of 360kWh and a range of up to 200km, dependent on driving and load weight conditions.

With this new all-electric city truck, Volvo now has eight electric truck models in its range.
