Volvo Cars reported sales of 162,938 cars for the first three months of 2023, up 10% year on year.
Growth was led mainly by fully electric cars.

March sales rose 8% to 63,132 cars.
The Recharge range, fully electric or plug-in hybrid, accounted for 41% of Q1 sales.
The share of fully electric cars was 18%.
European Q1 sales grew 12% to 72,671 cars while the Recharge share was 62%.
US sales grew 16% to 26,483 cars. Recharge models accounted for 29%.
China sales reached 36,457 cars, up 2%. Recharge accounted for 11%.
The XC40 was the top selling model in March with sales of 20,556 cars (2022: 17,584), followed by the XC60 (18,090; 16,855) and the XC90 (9,828; 9,141).
