
VinFast has introduced the VF 7, a new C-segment all-electric SUV, to the Indonesian market.
This launch marks the introduction of the fifth model in the company’s lineup for Indonesia, featuring two versions: the VF 7 Eco and the VF 7 Plus.
The company has begun sales, with the first deliveries expected in the country within the year.
The VF 7 is available for order at the company’s nationwide dealerships and at the company’s booth at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, which is open to the public from 24 July to 3 August.
The model is making its debut in its third market, showcasing the “Asymmetric Aerospace” design language crafted by Italy’s Torino Design.
The exterior of the VF 7 features the company’s signature “V” LED light strips at the front and rear, large wheel arches, a sloping coupe-style roof, and alloy wheels up to 19 inches. VF 7 also includes seven airbags and a range of advanced active safety systems.

By GlobalDataThe interior boasts a spacious cabin with leather-upholstered seats, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, and a driver-centric design.
VinFast noted that the VF 7 Plus is equipped with two electric motors, offering a total output of 260kW and 500Nm of peak torque, and a 70.8kWh battery for a range of up to 471km per full charge.
The VF 7 Eco features a single motor with 130kW, 250Nm of torque, and a 59.6kWh battery, enabling a range of 430km.
The Plus version includes an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) package with 17 features like Highway Assist and Traffic Jam Assist.
VinFast Indonesia CEO Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto said: “With the launch of our fifth model, VinFast is rapidly establishing the most diverse all-electric product range in the archipelago.
“By leveraging our versatile product lineup and comprehensive For a Green Future ecosystem, we aim to meet every transportation and financial need while powerfully inspiring the shift toward green mobility in Indonesia, creating a sustainable and prosperous future.”
The company will provide over-the-air (OTA) updates for the latest technology.
Its expansion in Indonesia includes a range of models and is supported by free charging at V-GREEN stations.
The company also said that it is partnering with service centres, dealerships, and banks to promote green transportation.
Earlier this year, VinFast entered the Indian market with the launch of the VF 6 and VF 7 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
Last month, VinFast opened a new EV manufacturing plant in Hà Tĩnh, Vietnam.
